워털루 대학교는 연구 중심의 대학으로 공학,수학,컴퓨터 사이언스, 기초 과학 등의 이과계열의 학과들을 중심으로 발전된 대학교입니다. 이과계열에서는 캐나다의 최고 수준이라 평가 받고 있습니다. 마이크로소프트사의 창업자이자 CEO였던 빌 게이츠가 마이크로소프트사에 가장 많이 입사한 졸업생이 워털루 대학교 출신이라고 할만큼 IT계통에서도 세계적으로 인정 받고 있습니다. 코업 프로그램을 활성화 하듯이 학문적 연구보다는 학생들의 취업을 위한 실용성에 더 비중을 두기 때문에 전세계적으로 유명 기업으로의 취업이 어느 대학보다 더 높습니다.

워털루는 온타리오주의 남서부 지역에 위치해 있으며, 메인 캠퍼스인 워털루 캠퍼스, 키치너 보건과학대,캠브리지 건축 스쿨,스트랫퍼드 캠퍼스, UAE캠퍼스등 총 5곳이 있습니다. 학부는 총 6개이며 10개의 School로 구성되어 있습니다.

▣ 입학지원과 학비 안내

워털루 대학의 학기는 9월학기와 1월, 5월학기로 나뉘어져 있습니다.
원서 마감은 전공에 따라 상이하며 보통 10월 (1월학기 기준),3월까지 지원해야 합니다.

• 고등학교 졸업 증명서  • 성적증명서 + 수능성적  • 지원 전공에 따른 선수 과목 이수 성적  • 영어성적 :     TOEFL IBT 90 이상 또는 IELTS  6.5 이상 또는 워털루 대학교의     영어 학교 프로그램인 EFAS (English for Academic Success) 수료 등  • Asmission Information Form (AIF)  • 입학신청비 등
